There are four broard areas of Healthcare Science:
• Clinical bioinformatics
• Life sciences
• Physiological sciences
• Physical science and biomedical engineering
Healthcare science staff play a vital role in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a huge number of medical conditions. Healthcare Scientists provide support and advice to healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of disease e.g. Microbiology, and may work in hospital laboratories - including clinical pathology laboratories and laboratories in specialist hospitals and the community - including clinics.
It is possible to enter at any level with the appropriate employment, qualifications, skills &/or experience.
