Yesterday saw the official opening of our new Enhanced Care Unit (ECU) at Queen Mary’s Hospital (QMH), Sidcup. The new unit was opened by Peter Cole, Chairman and Louise Ashley, Chief Executive.
The ECU is a high dependency unit for surgical patients. It means that previously we could only have patients at QMH who fit a particular criteria, because we didn't have the facilities for them to have high dependency care afterwards. Now we do, which is fantastic news!
