Dr Sayed and Rev Tony GreenThis Valentine’s Day, patients and staff at Darent Valley Hospital were treated to a heartwarming surprise as Dr Mo Sayed and Reverend Tony Green brought music to the wards, filling the hospital with joy and uplifting spirits.

Since December 2022, Dr Sayed has been serenading patients with his guitar, often joining the Dementia Team’s seasonal tea parties to create special moments for those in our care. His performances during Christmas, Easter, the King’s Coronation and other occasions have sparked singalongs and smiles, making a real difference to patients, especially the elderly.

Valentines signingMore recently, Reverend Tony Green, our Trust Chaplain, has joined him. Reflecting on their musical visits, Reverend Tony said:

"It’s a privilege to witness the joy music brings to patients, families and staff alike. I hope this continues long into the future."

A huge thank you to Dr Mo Sayed and everyone supporting this wonderful initiative. Music has a special way of bringing people together, and we are delighted to see it making such a positive impact at Darent Valley Hospital.
