I pursued my post-graduate degree in Paediatrics from a large tertiary referral centre B.J. Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai which is a 300 bedded Paediatric Hospital. I have worked in various NHS Trusts in the South East region before joining the research post at King's College London. I have gained extensive experience in Neonatology during my training at Hammersmith Hospital (Imperial) and King's College Hospital in London where I held the position of Consultant Neonatologist. I also trained in PICU at King's College Hospital where I gained experience of managing critically unwell children. I also worked as a Consultant Neonatologist at University Hospital Lewisham before joining Darent Valley Hospital in 2021.
With my special interest and experience in Neonatology, I have been helping to provide excellent care to the sickest preterm infants delivered locally. I have a keen interest in research and have numerous publications in peer reviewed journals. I have successfully introduced and driven the participation of our department in National clinical trials to find the best evidence in treatment and management of children and newborn infants. I lead the local recruitment on numerous National Randomised Clinical Trials (RCTs) which are considered the gold standard in evidence-based medicine. I aim to deliver high quality care for the children and newborn infants with special emphasis on improving their experience by practicing family integrated care.
