Mr Srijit Banerjee is a Consultant Urologist at Darent Valley Hospital. He specialises in general urology with a notable focus on renal stone disease and lower urinary tract dysfunction. He also manages paediatric patients with Urological symptoms.
Graduating with his foundational medical degree in India in 2002, he proceeded to undergo specialised training in the North London Deanery as a specialist registrar. His tenure included significant stints at esteemed institutions such as The Royal Marsden and St Bart's Hospital. He later completed research on the enhanced recovery of bladder cancer patients and was awarded his MD for his work by the University of East Anglia.

He has started various new interventions at Darent Valley hospital such as MRI fusion biopsy of the prostate and Thulium LASER prostate surgery. These procedures are offered in a limited number of hospitals in the NHS and are likely to improve patient outcomes.
