The Acer Unit has three operating theatres and three endoscopy suites. The unit is for patients who need a surgical operation or clinical procedure but do not need to stay in hospital overnight, or who require an endoscopic procedure either as an inpatient or a day patient. The unit's surgical ward area is divided into bays with operating table/trolleys where patients are cared for by their nurse before and after treatment.
