We provide a specialist colorectal service at Darent Valley Hospital and at Queen Mary’s Hospital Sidcup, looking after patients with all problems affecting the large bowel (colon), small bowel (intestines) and the rectum and anus.

Investigations to identify colorectal disease include:

Laparoscopic colorectal surgery
The Trust offers laparoscopic colorectal surgery using state-of-the-art facilities to treat inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), colorectal cancer and other colon procedures.
Referrals
Referrals can be made by GPs through the NHS e-Referral service or by a hospital consultant. Urgent suspected cancer GP referrals are seen within two weeks through the fast-track system via our cancer referral office.
