Average Waiting Time Dashboard
Thank you for your patience during this challenging time. We are working hard to return to normal and are commencing a staggered restart for surgical operations.
Due to the high volume of calls we are currently receiving we would appreciate that you avoid calling the Theatre Scheduling department to enquire about your operation date, we will contact you when we have a date for your planned surgery.

Who is the service for?
The Theatre Scheduling teams are based at Darent Valley Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup. They are the main point of contact for patients who are waiting or who have already been scheduled for surgery, or an endoscopy procedure.
What does the service provide?
Theatre Scheduling provide information to patients regarding their surgery and when they can expect to be scheduled. They also book pre-operative appointments to all patients so that we can provide the best possible care to patients when they are admitted under our care.
At Darent Valley Hospital, Theatre Scheduling have a team available to speak to on site, located in the hospital's main entrance, where you can discuss your pending surgery and raise any queries you may have.
At Queen Mary's Hospital, the team are telephone based. Both sites accept email queries.
The Theatre Scheduling Departments are open between 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Messages can be left on voice mail and are picked up the next working day.
Attending a Pre Assessment Clinic appointment is not confirmation that you will be attending your surgery. If you wish to continue with your surgery on the date provided you must confirm this separately with the Theatre Scheduling Department.
